Uhh hello! So quick update here. I just haven’t had the willpower to be on social media much in 2025 so I’ve gone dark for the wedding season. I have shot TONS of weddings this year, and I’ve shot the last six(ish) weeks of weddings with two screws in my ankle and a broken fibula. Yep. It’s been challenging, but I’ve managed. I just want to hop on here to thank some people who have helped me during this time.
Thank you to all the couples who stuck with me when I told them what happened. I approached them with a plan in place and they trusted that I would give it my best. So thank you.
Shout out in particular to Shayne Bampton (guy doesn’t even have IG?!?!). He stepped up hard and made it very easy by just agreeing to whatever he could help with. Solid dude. Also big shoutouts to .riley - all of whom stepped in to second for me while I was hobbling around.
Thanks to at and at for helping me heal. I’m supposed to be non-weight bearing for at least two more weeks but have been walking(ish) for the last week or so. Definitely not doctors orders but I’m feeling very good and the bones feel strong.
And a massive thanks to the love and support of my wife .alannakuhn for taking care of me and the fam, doing all the stuff I typically do around the house, and keeping me healthy and functioning. She’s the best mother and wife a guy could ask for.
To be honest, I killed it. Everyone who saw me with crutches, a pegleg, or hobbling around in an aircast or splint probably noticed how hard I worked and how little I missed. I feel really proud of the work I have produced while literally on one leg. It hasn’t been easy but I fu***ng did it. I’m still limping but at least I can fit a shoe on my foot now. I won’t tell the surgeon that quite yet. So cheers, everyone. I’m not fully healed yet but feeling very good!
