Uhh hello! So quick update here. I just haven’t had the willpower to be on social media much in 2025 so I’ve gone dark for the wedding season. I have shot TONS of weddings this year, and I’ve shot the last six(ish) weeks of weddings with two screws in my ankle and a broken fibula. Yep. It’s been challenging, but I’ve managed. I just want to hop on here to thank some people who have helped me during this time.

Thank you to all the couples who stuck with me when I told them what happened. I approached them with a plan in place and they trusted that I would give it my best. So thank you.

Shout out in particular to Shayne Bampton (guy doesn’t even have IG?!?!). He stepped up hard and made it very easy by just agreeing to whatever he could help with. Solid dude. Also big shoutouts to .riley - all of whom stepped in to second for me while I was hobbling around.

Thanks to at and at for helping me heal. I’m supposed to be non-weight bearing for at least two more weeks but have been walking(ish) for the last week or so. Definitely not doctors orders but I’m feeling very good and the bones feel strong.

And a massive thanks to the love and support of my wife .alannakuhn for taking care of me and the fam, doing all the stuff I typically do around the house, and keeping me healthy and functioning. She’s the best mother and wife a guy could ask for.

To be honest, I killed it. Everyone who saw me with crutches, a pegleg, or hobbling around in an aircast or splint probably noticed how hard I worked and how little I missed. I feel really proud of the work I have produced while literally on one leg. It hasn’t been easy but I fu***ng did it. I’m still limping but at least I can fit a shoe on my foot now. I won’t tell the surgeon that quite yet. So cheers, everyone. I’m not fully healed yet but feeling very good!

Happy New Year! 🍻Here are some highlights from a recently delivered full gallery.

Hey Everyone. I'm still alive and well. I've just been locked in an editing cave, furiously pumping out galleries from a busier than anticipated wedding/engagement/family autumn. So if you are anticipating a gallery, it is coming. And if you are new here, I'm still banging out some solid work. Here's a selection from a recent full gallery delivery. This post is going to focus on family connections (I've been shooting a lot of family sessions). As a parent, I always love when a couple already has children. It adds so many sweet and emotional connection points throughout the day. Here's a few from that wedding. :)

Here’s a random post from yours truly. I have a Lightroom gallery called “Random Wedding Street Photos” for photos that I like but don’t necessarily make final galleries due to being subject matter not really relevant to the wedding. Just something or someone that caught my eye and were in good light. Not really typical wedding content but meh! Enjoy! 😊

Some couples I work and chat with don't want "getting ready" photos. Which is totally fine and understandable. It's not necessary nor for everyone. But I've always loved shooting them. There are so many emotions swirling around the moments leading into a wedding ceremony. Pre-ceremony sections of the gallery also help anchor the "story" of the wedding day, fleshing out the narrative from a subdued beginning to (hopefully) an epic party ending. This time also typically offers a chance to be creative with compositions even amongst the constrains of lighting, location, space, etc.
This set was all within about 20 minutes of me arriving.

Part 2 of the portrait session took place in downtown . I love shooting there. One of my favourite local spots. We got a perfect evening and the streets were so quiet. We even organized a first dance in front of the Armoury.

Shot a wonderful intimate wedding at The White Chapel in this summer. It was HOT in there but we were able to make some beautiful portraits in and around the historic chapel.
