After 7 years of balancing photography, a “9–5,” mom life and wife life, I decided it was finally time to drop one of my titles… and pick up one that feels a whole lot more like me.

FULL-TIME PHOTOGRAPHER 📸

Seven years ago, I started taking photos because I wanted to hold onto the little moments. I never imagined that something I loved so deeply would grow into a business, a career, and eventually something big enough to become my full-time job.

Somewhere along the way, “photographer” stopped being the thing I squeezed into evenings, weekends and every little pocket of time I could find. It became a huge part of who I am.

So, I did freaking the scary thing…
I chose it!

It’s official: I’M A FULL-TIME PHOTOGRAPHER

And while one title is disappearing, the important ones aren’t going anywhere.

I’m still Mom.
Still wife.

Still the girl who overshoots, gets way too excited about good light and will absolutely fix your flyaway hairs one by one. 😂

Just now, when someone asks what I do for a living, I finally get to say:

I’M A PHOTOGRAPHER!

Seven years in the making. And somehow, it feels like I’m only getting started. 💚

25 FAMILIES. ONE BIG PURPOSE. 🤎🍂

This fall, I’m looking for 25 families who want their family photos to mean a little more.

Introducing Families for Families — Fall Sessions.

Throughout September + October, 35% of every family session fee will be donated to Almost Home, helping support families who need a home away from home while their child receives medical care.

This campaign is incredibly close to my heart.

During the first weeks of our oldest son's life, while he was receiving lifesaving medical care, our family relied on a home much like Almost Home that allowed us to stay close to him.

We know firsthand what having a home away from home can mean when your entire world is sitting inside a hospital room.

Now, I get to photograph families for a living — and this fall, I want to use what I love to help another family stay close when they need each other most.

So I'm looking for 25 families to join me.

Come play. Snuggle your babies. Chase your kids. Soak up whatever season your family is in right now.

We'll turn those moments into photographs — while helping another family stay together through one of the hardest seasons of theirs.

There was a time when summer meant one thing: go outside and play.

Running until your legs were tired. Swinging a little too high. Making up games with absolutely no rules. Coming home with messy hair, grass-stained knees and stories to tell.

No perfect poses. No matching outfits. Just childhood happening exactly as it should.

Maybe these aren’t the photographs that feel important right now.

But someday, they’ll look like summer used to feel 🤍

From celebrating an engagement, to standing beside them on their wedding day, to now documenting the beginning of their journey into parenthood…
