A little Frontenac Photography health update... because apparently my uterus believes in dramatic exits.
A few days ago, what started as a disagreement between myself and my uterus escalated rather quickly. There was an ambulance ride, a very effective neighbourhood-wide panic, and enough concern from family and friends that I should probably issue an official statement.
The short version?
My uterus decided it was done with our toxic relationship and attempted to leave. Unfortunately, instead of packing its bags and moving out, it pancaked itself onto my spine.
As one does.
This resulted in a completely unnecessary and temporary loss of leg strength and mobility, a 4.5-day hospital stay, and a reminder that my uterus has apparently never learned healthy conflict resolution skills.
There was also an infection involved somewhere in this story, but honestly, we're not close enough for that level of detail.
The good news is that things have settled down. My uterus and I have agreed to remain civil until our official separation later this year. Until then, we are co-existing with very clear boundaries.
I have been slowly reaching out to any clients who may have been affected by this unexpected hospital stay. If you were waiting to hear from me and haven't yet, please send me a message. I promise I haven't forgotten about you—I was simply busy convincing my reproductive organs that mutiny was not an appropriate coping mechanism.
Thank you to everyone who checked in, sent messages, helped with my kiddos, or offered support. It means more than you know.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have editing to do and a uterus that is no longer allowed to make any major life decisions without supervision 💚
