Hi. It’s me. I am still here and still taking photos. I just haven’t been posting much. Social media is such a funny thing but there’s also been a lot of change and reflection in my life, including my photography and the name I work under.

While the amazing .shadow helps me with the name and logo aspect, I thought I would share a little about my photographer ❤️. I have been thinking for awhile why I love photography and why I want to do it. Then I attended a workshop with & and 🤯. We talked about our inner voice and how do we share that in our work. And I realized I needed to think about this.

Here’s what I know… I love capturing your moments, the things that will really matter in 20 years. I love sharing your stories and your heart. I love getting to know you as I capture your images. For me it isn’t about the best filter or the perfect technique, those help, but it’s about….

And I’m not sure what this means for all my work moving forward but follow along to see. I recently got to really examine this photography journey with my post above. Capturing the photos for this family was a true honour as they welcomed their new bundle, long awaited, yet came just when he was supposed to. Spending time in their home as they start their journey as a family a four was a reminder of what truly matters. And it reminded me what I love doing. So thank you.

Been a long while since I’ve posted… although I have still been taking photos!
2023 has been a year.
With that has come lots of contemplation— and maybe some changes or new ideas. So while I sort that out- it’s been quiet online- but still here to capture your memories and smiles!

Large family photo sessions can be a big task… But this family was amazing! They were ready to capture these moments and their fun personality is clear in all of these pictures. We also hope to capture moments and times of our lives- but they pass by quickly.

Fun side note is the grandma of this family worked for my grandparents at their grocery store and she shared the sweetest story about them- always makes me feel closer to them. So I’ll take that extra magic 💫

When asked me to take some photos to help promote her new dinosaur 🦖 album, I couldn’t help but imagine capturing her own life and children to make it happen! I’m so excited about this new musical journey for her- it matches her season of life perfectly! I can’t wait for more songs to be released!
