Some of my favorite patterns on a frog and when they're photoed they almost have a velvety textured appearance.
This species has a stable population, but were nearly wiped out due to a fungal infection. Now they only seem to appear in isolated pockets.

The South American Bushmaster. An iconic species, and part of the longest genus of viper in the world with some found reaching up to 13 feet in length. This was a younger adult at around 4 feet, but was an incredible snake to observe.
