bring your dog. i will say it every time 🐾
there’s something about a couple just being silly with their pup that makes for some incredible mems!
if you’re thinking about it for your own session, here’s how to set your pup up for success:
🦴 bring treats — bribery works and we are not above it
🚶 get a walk in before the session so they’re not bouncing off the walls
👋 bring a friend or family member who can hold the leash / take them for a break when they need one (sessions are a lot of stimulation for a dog!)
dogs are always welcome at sessions. they’re part of the family, they belong in the photos.
p.s. — sunset sessions are almost booked up for the summer, so if you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the time 🌅

things nobody tells you about wedding photography: half the job is making last-minute changes look like they were the plan all along 👀

the couple pulled names out of a hat to pick their witnesses and i have never seen two people look so surprised and so honoured at the same time 🥹

this engagement session was shot at sunrise — yes, sunrise — and it looks exactly like golden hour. because it is. just the other kind 🌅
most people don’t realize you can get that warm, glowy light without staying out until 9pm. show up early, beat the heat, and have the whole place to yourself 🥳
but beyond the light — look at these two. the laughing, the running toward each other, the hand kisses 🥹 i’m not just following them around hoping for magic — i’m giving them prompts and then getting out of the way while the real stuff unfolds. guided candid, if you want to put a name to it 🫶🏻

i know, i know — you’re doing your research. good. 👀

this is a little peek at what a wedding day actually looks like with me behind the camera — running between moments, making bad jokes to get real laughs, completely ignoring the chaos while quietly getting every single shot.

i’m not the photographer who takes herself too seriously. but i will low-key sprint across a venue to catch the right light, and i will absolutely hype you up the entire day.

if this vibe feels like you, my link is in bio 🤍

your wedding gallery shouldn’t just show what the day looked like — it should show who was there. your people are part of your story, and they deserve to be documented too. scroll through and tell me which one hits 🤍

the secret to getting really good candid photos? buffer time.
not a tight, back-to-back timeline where you’re sprinting from ceremony to portraits to dinner. actual breathing room built into your day.
the best photos I take are never the posed ones. they’re the moments in between. people laughing with their grandma. your partner stealing a bite of food. your best friend ugly crying in the corner in the best way.
those moments only happen when people are relaxed. and people only relax when there’s no one stressing about getting to the next thing on the list.
when your timeline has buffer, your wedding day actually feels like a wedding day instead of a race.
so if you’re in planning mode right now — fight for the buffer. your future self (and your photos) will thank you. 🤝
