I've been looking forward to sharing a few photos from this latest cover feature for Hardlines Magazine! 🥳 I had a great time meeting and photographing Jamie Adams and Tasha Birtch at Adams Building Supply - the winners of last fall's Pro Dealer of the Year award at the Outstanding Retailer Awards. Jamie and Tasha were both so warm and welcoming and it was lovely working with them for this feature! This was my third cover shoot for Hardlines Inc. and it's always a pleasure working with their team.

For the latest issue of Hardlines Inc. Pro Dealer Magazine, I had the opportunity to photograph Cynthia Prazeres-Mare and her family for their Q3 cover and feature article. Cynthia and her family are the team behind Toronto-based Senso Group, a thriving family-owned building supply and rental company. Cynthia and her family were an absolute pleasure to work with. They are genuinely passionate about their business and their dedication to their customers and their needs have clearly been a huge key to their success!

When Hardlines HIQ magazine reached out through their art director, Shawn Samson, looking for a photographer to capture President and CEO Ian White of Home Hardware Stores Limited, I knew it was going to be a special assignment. I was excited to see their detailed shot list and to bring their vision to life.

We met at Home Hardware’s massive St. Jacobs warehouse….a location that’s as impressive as the company’s 60-year history in the town. Ian arrived with the kind of warmth and approachability that instantly puts everyone at ease. It was clear from our conversations that he genuinely cares about the company, its legacy, and the well-being of the people who keep it running!

With the Home Hardware team, Hardlines reps, and a lot of good energy in the room, the shoot came together seamlessly. I’m thrilled with how the images turned out, and there’s nothing quite like seeing the final product in print!

Especially when it’s a story that feels so connected to the local community ☺️

It’s not every day you get to photograph the faces behind one of your local news stations! My work with CTV News Kitchener began in 2020, when journalists Heather Senoran and Spencer Turcotte reached out to update their headshots. We had a great shoot at my studio — so much so that they returned again in 2024 for a second round of photos.

Shortly after, I received a message from their news director, Daniel Cress, who invited me to photograph the full CTV News team at their studio location. Everyone on this team was just so fun and easy to work with and I love how the photos turned out!

This past winter I was invited to work with Kitchener's iconic Charcoal Group of Restaurants to create a series of photos for their content library. We captured a blend of interiors, headshots, and brandidng photos. The drink-making bar photos were some of my favourites to capture!

We were contacted by Metric Marketing for advertising photography of their private school client St. John Kilmarnock (SJK School) in Breslau, Ontario. Metric is an award-winning Winnipeg-based marketing company with a focus on helping private schools with their marketing and outreach initiatives. For the “Go Beyond” campaign, Metric’s vision and concept was to feature SJK’s dynamic students and capture both photo and video of them demonstrating both their academic and extracurricular interests and strengths. A date was set for the photo/video shoot and the Metric team flew in from Winnipeg to attend. We had a great time working with the amazing students at SJK and the school’s wonderful and caring staff.

The Metric team created the beautiful design and graphics seen below, and the campaign was even submitted to the inspirED School Marketers 2022 Brilliance Awards, for which the Go Beyond campaign won Bronze!

Since this photoshoot and campaign, we’ve worked with SJK School on a variety of projects, and we always look forward to interacting with their fantastic students and staff.

Joanna Fowler is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Water Cooler, a multi-service company offering social media management, branding services, and much more. Joanna and her business partner and creative director Jess Rickus needed a handful of simple but impactful headshots and branding images for their website and socials.

Guelph-based company McKellar Structured Settlements Inc. wanted to updated their team's headshots with a mix of more formal photos and fun candids. I had a great time working with their team over a few days in studio and loveee the photos we created!

Maria Bushey is a Waterloo-region based realtor who needed fresh branding photos for her social media presence. Maria brought a few lovely outfits – both more casual and more formal – and as a result, we captured this nice mix of images in Cambridge! 😍
