The reason I’ve been rather quiet on socials these past few months - we’re welcoming a little one shortly!
Our family is so excited to meet this little one, but this pregnancy has been a rough road so far. I never expected to have a high risk pregnancy or a kiddo with intense medical needs right out the gate, but that’s our reality, and we are aiming to meet every challenge with grace and compassion. Luckily we have an amazing medical team who’s helped us make informed decisions and supported us throughout the beginning stages of this journey. Our families have also been a huge support for my husband and I.

There’s so much I was looking forward to doing and creating this year - but plans change, so I look forward to all the creativity next year will hold when we’re all settled 💕

Always remember that you have made it through every tough time you have ever experienced, and you will continue to meet every challenge. Give yourself grace, understanding and support during those hard times - you are amazing and you got this 💕

First time entering images for review and they took home silver and bronze!
Friendly reminder to check up on any images you’ve submitted - these were sent in months ago, and I only found out recently that both images placed! It completely slipped my mind to check my account, but I’m so glad I did.

I’m so proud of these images I created with a while back, and it’s so rewarding having other professionals celebrate them as well!
While I love client sessions, there’s something so fun about creative sessions, and I’m looking forward to submitting more work to in the future!

For my fellow photographers - how often does it slip your mind to check on results of competitions/reviews? Please tell me it’s not just me 😅

In other news - I’m not back to regularly posting content yet, but I’m happy to be slowly catching up on all the editing I have in the queue and posting some of the incredible sessions we’ve done. It’s been a crazy year so far, and I’m trying to mentally prepare for all that autumn has planned!

Anyone else enjoying this fall weather we’ve been having this week?
I’m already missing the sun setting at 9pm, but I must say, I really appreciate being able to be in the garden without overheating! I think I’m finally getting to a stage in life where I appreciate the beauty each season has to offer without dreading the changes to come. For now, I’m just enjoying the fall/crisp weather.

Personally, I just haven’t had the energy to post to socials for a bit and it took a while to not be upset with myself for taking a break. Today is International Women's Day - A day to recognize the power, passion, and intelligence of women throughout history as well as the women of today and those of the future. As women, we are inherently strong, but not every woman is given the same opportunities as others; not every woman is taught that she has value or worth beyond what she can do for others.
It is my hope that one day, all women (and girls) will believe in themselves, knowing how capable, brave, and incredible they are - without feeling the need to compare herself to others, or that her worth is only what someone tells her it is. May we support and encourage each and every woman in our lives, and may we continue to grow stronger together.
We are powerful, passionate, intelligent, worthy and beautiful beyond comparison - and we have the power to change our world for the better. Showcase your personality, speak your dreams, fight for your values, and don't let anyone stop you from achieving your hearts' desire.

I love our little community, and it has always been my goal to create a safe space where we can support one another, and help each other reach our full potential. With that in mind, I decided that rather than doing a Women's Day Giveaway as I have in the past, we would hold a Limited Edition Session marathon on March 13th and 27th where clients would have access to our lowest session price and receive stunning images, but we would also donate those session fees directly to a charity helping women within our community. We would have a wonderful time in the studio, and we would be spreading love, positivity and hope to women who don't currently have the same opportunities as many of us.

✨ International Women’s Day Limited Edition Session Announcement ✨

International Women's Day is March 8th - and this year, I thought we could spread the love/support and positivity to as many women as possible! That's where these sessions come in - we have opened up March 13th for Limited Edition Sessions where the entire experience is solely focused on your beauty and strength.

We will be using a linen backdrop and simply capturing you in all your amazingness.

These limited edition experiences will be 20 minutes long, provide a Light Makeup Application by .and.wellness and include 5 of your favourite digital images from the session. These are perfect if you want to dip your toes into the bo***ir world!
We will also be donating proceeds from all sessions to help women within our communities!

So come, celebrate the woman that you are + support the women in our community at the same time ❤

🔥It's Boudie Call time!🔥
There's no better way to start off the New Year than with a bunch of self love + appreciation! 💕

I'm currently looking for a few new faces to participate in the first Boudie Call of 2023!

This year, things are going to be a bit different in regards to what one of these sessions will look like.

As always - ALL women (18+) are encouraged to apply, regardless of body shape, age etc. All women are welcome 💕

Boudie Calls are themed sessions where I have a specific vibe in mind, and we work to make it reality! These are also a way for me to create content to share on social media, my website etc. About 70% of the session is focused on the theme, and creating content in mind while the remaining 30% is a regular session with us just focused on having a great time!
Often these sessions run over an hour in the studio - so you will have a lot of images + looks to choose your final images from!

Current themes I'd like to focus on in addition to regular studio sessions:

- Bridal Bo***ir
- Mother (up to 1.5 years post partum) willing to show off the beauty of a mothers body
- Pregnancy Bo***ir (7-8mo pregnant)
- Pinterest worthy anonymous session
- Women 50+

Booking for the end of January and through out February.

As always, Hair and Makeup, Getting Ready Guides and Questionnaires, Professional Posing Instruction and Access to the Client Closet are included in your session!

These sessions are heavily discounted, and as they are discounted, you are asked to sign a model release, allowing me to use any/all content created during your session to be posted online. You'll be asked on your application how much of your experience you're willing to share - and I only share as much as you request ie full experience vs only final images.
A $250 non-refundable payment is required to secure your selected date and session. There is a minimum investment of $500 for these sessions which provides you with 5 digital images, with the option to purchase a Collection or A La Carte items at a discounted rate.
