This might be my favourite instalment yet for my Yukon Wildlife series! I simply could not get enough of these Thinhorn Sheep and I don’t know if it was simply because I had never seen one in person before or if it was my good fortunate in being able to capture them in the best backdrops that complimented their beauty so perfectly!

All shot with the Canon 5D MK4, Canon 300mm f4.0L, and Canon 1.4X teleconverter @ ISO 1250.

Adventures in the Yukon (and a little bit of Alaska), continue! This week I’m sharing some of my favourite landscapes. The weather wasn’t ideal for landscape photography, with low lying clouds many days and my opportunity to take landscapes were often during less than ideal lighting conditions, but the land was breathtaking nonetheless. Some parts were very rugged, at times it reminding me of Newfoundland. And the Yukon River is the most beautiful emerald blue I have ever seen!

Most of these were shot with the Canon 5D MK4 and Canon 24-70mm f4.0L.

In the summer of 2019, I had an incredible trip to the Yukon! Everything was so beautiful there and I rekindled my love of nature and wildlife photography. Over the next few months, I’m going to share some of my favourite images from the trip and I hope you enjoy the majestic creatures and landscapes as much as me! Up first, an Arctic Ground Squirrel. I spent 20 minutes with him before we were interrupted by a loud noise that had him run off into a nearby field. All shot with the Canon 5D MK4, Canon 300mm F4.0L, and Canon 1.4X teleconverter, @ ISO 1600.
