Caught this guy on an early morning walk near Terrace, BC — looked like he was on the hunt but stayed super chill while I grabbed some footage with my Sony 200-600mm (+1.4x teleconverter for extra reach).

We watched the Milky Way rise over Lakelse Lake last night.

After the moon set, you could see the outline of the core with your naked eyes.

This shot is two cameras going at once and blended together. One shot on an astro-modified camera on a star tracker for 4 minutes to expose the sky, and another on a tripod shooting for 30 seconds of us in the foreground.

A capture for the star gazers 🌌

One of my best Milky Way captures to date, taken on the early morning of August 13th in Gingolx, BC, with almost zero light pollution.

I used a star tracker, which rotates the camera to compensate for the Earth’s rotation, allowing 2-minute exposures without star trails.

My camera is a dedicated astro-modified camera, which allows the sensor to capture H-alpha emissions from nebulae.

One of my best Milky Way captures to date, taken on the early morning of August 13th in Gingolx, BC, with almost zero light pollution.

“We drove to a Bortle 1 sky — the darkest class there is, zero light pollution — to catch the Perseid meteor shower at its 2026 peak. This timelapse is the real result. No naked eye enhancement, just what the sky actually looked like out there. If you’ve never seen a truly dark sky, this is why it’s worth the drive. 🌠
