Today’s post is a little different... it's personal. ❤️

I want to give a huge shout-out to my friend and fellow photographer, Amanda Kopcic of Amanda Kopcic Photography & Videography for capturing these beautiful memories of our daughter, son-in-law, and our sweet grandson, Bennett.

Could I have taken these photos myself? Absolutely. But after talking it over with my husband, we realized that for this special milestone, we didn't want me worrying about getting the "perfect" shot, making sure every little detail was just right, or missing out because I was behind the camera.

Instead, we wanted to simply "be present", soak in every moment, and truly enjoy this special time together. So, I called someone I trust completely—my talented friend Amanda—and she exceeded every expectation.

Photography is an art, not a competition. One of the things I love most about this industry is supporting other artists and celebrating each other's talents.

Of course, I couldn't resist adding my own creative touch afterward! I designed collages and wall art for both our home and the kids' home, and I absolutely love how everything came together.

Thank you again, Amanda, for preserving these memories so beautifully. They are something our family will cherish for years to come. ❤️📷

🍎📚 Can you believe Back to School season is almost here? 📚🍎

It feels like summer just began, yet backpacks are starting to appear in stores, fresh crayons are filling the shelves, and another school year is just around the corner.

For parents, it's a bittersweet season...

❤️ Watching your little one grow.
✏️ Wondering how they got so big.
📖 Celebrating new beginnings and exciting adventures.

Every school year is a milestone worth remembering.

That's why our Back 2 School Mini Sessions have become one of our favourite traditions. They capture more than just a smiling face—they preserve the excitement, confidence, and personality that make this moment in time so special.

📸 Whether it's your child's very first day of Kindergarten or their final first day of high school, these are memories you'll treasure for years to come.

👀 We've been working behind the scenes creating some beautiful new setups for this year's sessions, and we can't wait to share them with you!

✨ Booking dates will be released next week.

Who's ready for another amazing school year? Tell us in the comments what grade your child will be starting this fall! 🍎👇

📚✨ We Need Your Help! ✨📚

We're putting the finishing touches on our 2026 Back 2 School Mini Sessions, and we'd love your opinion!

This is one of the beautiful backdrops we'll be using this year... but we're torn on one little detail. 🤔

🖍️ Should we leave the chalkboard blank so it has a timeless look?

OR

🍎 Should we include the "Welcome Back 2 School" wording for that classic back-to-school feel?

👇 Vote in the comments!

⬅️ THIS = Leave the chalkboard blank

➡️ THAT = Add the wording

Your feedback helps us create the best experience possible, and we genuinely appreciate you being part of the creative process! ❤️

We can't wait to show you everything we've been working on for this year's Back 2 School Mini Sessions! Stay tuned... they're going to be amazing! 📸🍎✏️

💙📸 Throwback Thursday 📸💙

Today we're taking it back two years to Jaxton's unforgettable Creekside Session... and what a beautiful reminder it is of how quickly childhood changes. 💚

Those bright blue rain boots.
That curious little face.
Sitting quietly by the creek, taking in the world around him.

These are the moments that seem ordinary at the time, but become some of our most treasured memories.

It's amazing how much can change in just two short years, and we're so grateful to have been able to freeze this little chapter in Jaxton's story.

🌿 This is exactly why we love our Creekside Summer Mini Sessions. They're not about perfectly posed portraits—they're about preserving childhood just as it is... adventurous, curious, carefree, and wonderfully authentic.

Thank you to Jaxton's family for allowing us to capture these precious memories. ❤️

✨ What was your child's favourite summer adventure when they were little? We'd love to hear your memories in the comments!

📸 Our Creekside Summer Mini Sessions are now booking, and we'd love to help you capture this season before it becomes another beautiful throwback.

🌿💙

💚 Childhood Doesn't Wait...

One day they'll outgrow the little rain boots.

They'll stop collecting rocks because they look like hearts.

They won't ask to splash in every puddle or spend an hour trying to catch minnows in the creek.

The tiny hand that reaches for yours today will someday be too big to hold.

That's why we love our Creekside Summer Mini Sessions.

These sessions aren't about perfect smiles or looking at the camera.

They're about muddy boots.
🍃 Tiny adventures.
💦 Splashing in the creek.
🐞 Looking for frogs.
🪨 Skipping rocks.
🌞 Laughing until their cheeks hurt.

The best photographs are the ones that remind you exactly who your child was in this season of life.
