Eagles are large, powerful birds of prey belonging to the family Accipitridae. They are apex predators known for their exceptional eyesight, strong talons, and hooked beaks used for hunting and tearing flesh. There are over 60 species of eagles found worldwide on every continent except Antarctica, with the majority occurring in Eurasia and Africa.
