📸 hey there! let me introduce myself:

I’m Mykah Obrigewitch, the face behind DawnHaus Media.

My first camera was a bright pink VTech Kidzoom, a bulky little thing I brought with me everywhere. I grew up surrounded by creativity thanks to my Auntie Heather, a talented photographer who made artistry look effortless. While photography and videography weren’t exactly center stage in my family, my Gigi (grandpa) was a radio broadcaster, and through him, I found my first spark of storytelling magic.

By age 9, I’d already made up my mind: I was going to film school. I didn’t know what my exact title would be, but I did know the media world was broad, and that I had the power to shape my path once I got there.

At 17, I started the Film & Video Production program at SAIT. I fell in love with cameras all over again, this time with knowledge of videography and photography, which quickly became my favorite hobby. By 19, I graduated with a 3.8 GPA, a full portfolio, incredible connections, and a fresh zest for life.

After graduation, I felt a little lost, pulled in every direction. I wanted to get into digital marketing. I wanted to shoot more photography. I wanted to produce a documentary. And in true me fashion… I decided to do all of it.

I learned how to write a grant for my first documentary, landed a videography gig with a local digital marketer, and officially registered DawnHaus Media, my own company for photography, videography, and digital marketing.

I’m so excited to bring my passion to southern Alberta. To help businesses grow. To connect with my community. To make big ideas real.
And most importantly, to start this next chapter with you beside me.
