Looking for an excuse to celebrate? I'm all about sharing wins at the end of the week. Here’s one: Today, I’m celebrating getting all of my health appointments done this week! I feel like a totally new person.

After months of procrastinating on booking doc and dentist appointments, I was more than ready to celebrate and decided to pamper myself with a haircut as well!

So CHEERS to that, friends! What are you celebrating today?

What do you do when things start going differently than you’d planned? Do you adapt quickly? Step away a while? There are tons of ways to do it, but I’m all about changing my perspective on the situation.

When I start feeling stuck, I have a few go-to solutions. I often get into nature—the serenity reveals so much. But when I am struggling with bigger things, I always call in the big guns. To me that usually means getting quiet and praying to my chosen God for clarity.

It’s amazing how just by releasing the responsibility to figure everything out on your own, your mind suddenly opens to possibilities you simply hadn’t seen before.

I’m so thankful I have my close friends, family and faith to help me open my mind to the bigger picture when I find myself caught up in daily stresses or minute details.

I'm curious what or who do you rely on when you need a fresh perspective?

We all have hard moments.

Minutes before this picture was taken, I was in tears. Over what? I don't remember. But I was probably tired, not having gotten much sleep the few nights before and we all know how weepy we can get when we aren't prioritizing the rest our bodies and minds need.

It doesn't matter how many hard moments we have or why we have them though. What matters is how quickly you can get back up, dust yourself off and affirm to yourself "I've got this."

You can still see the glossy teary eyes, you can still see my flushed cheeks and swollen lips (why god does this have to happen when we cry). But you can also see proof of my commitment to look onwards and upwards as quickly as possible.

Teaching myself how to do this without just denying my very human emotion took a minute to learn (you still gotta feel and release it). But I can tell you, learning to process life this quickly is the key ingredient to how I chose to live and thrive.

I don't know if that helps you, I just felt called to share this today.

I used to be really nervous about my size when it came to being photographed and building my business as a photographer. It feels so wild to think that I used to believe that being plus-sized and being photographed beautifully were mutually exclusive. Maybe you have felt this way too?

I have to confess something though..Over the last year, I have intentionally cultivated a lot of body acceptance and self love. And I mean A LOT, haha. Not only in what I look like, but really truly in who I am and what I stand for. Part of that means loving myself so deeply to the point where I can inspire other people to love themselves no matter what size of body they are in or what stage of life they are in.

I have done the work and cultivated the power of self love and transformed my insecurity into inspiration. And yes, I am here to tell you and to SHOW you that it is a power that can be cultivated. I bring my history and my self-love evolution to all of my photoshoots. Why? Because I care deeply about all of my clients and I want you to take ALL of this positive energy and give yourself the gift of feeling freaking great in the skin you're in.

Being in front of the camera can be a vulnerable thing, especially at the start. I have been there. But here's the thing:

It is possible to feel pure love and pure freedom in front of the camera too, no matter what vessel you happen to be in during this lifetime. I am proof of that. But don't take my word for it, check out what a few of my clients have told me this past year:

This is how I feel about Sundays.

I love the freshness of a new week.

I love the mystery in not knowing what will unfold.

Maybe thats why this is a such a great day to lean into faith, whatever that looks like for you.
