Our small trip to Magog was on FIRE 🔥
However, we wish we could have come sooner, especially to be able to take our time hiking Mount Orford ⛰. As mentioned 3 posts before, this was our first time hiking, so me and my sister Maggie Kanj were not prepared at all! I mean, we hiked a MOUNTAIN with RUNNING SHOES 👟 !
As we’re just beginners in this, we decided to hike an intermediate level trail, that was supposed to last 3 hours 🕰. So at the beginning, life was beautiful, the trail was easy and we took our time because we wanted beautiful pictures 📷 . But as we went further into the mountain, it was becoming harder. It rained the night before so the entire path was slippery and muddy 🌧. Not the best combination for running shoes. We were trying to avoid the mud the whole time. Oh and also, we didn’t check the time before starting… so we didn’t know how long it has been since we started the hike, and for a long time we had ZERO indications on where we were situated in the trail and how much more kilometers we had to do… 😭. We were tired, our socks 🧦 were all wet, and we were totally ignorant on when we would arrive 😒.
But all worth it though. The view was stunning the whole time, we climbed rocks, we crossed from one bridge to another 🌉 and we got to see chipmunks, squirrels, blue jays and deer! 🐿🦌 Also, the way back was so much easier, THANK GOD 🙏🏼 🙌🏻
So finally the hike lasted 5 hours instead or 3 hours for us, and even if the way back was easy, we rushed back because we had to return to Montreal to be on time for the Bible study 😂.
These pictures were taken on the way back of our sketchy hike ☺️.
