Yes, Pelee Island and Point Pelee are two distinct locations in Lake Erie. Point Pelee is a national park on the Canadian mainland, while Pelee Island is an offshore island accessible by ferry. Although Point Pelee is the southernmost point on the Canadian mainland, Pelee Island is even further south and holds the title of the southernmost inhabited point in Canada. Both locations serve as crucial stopovers at the intersection of two North American migration flyways: the Atlantic and the Mississippi. Point Pelee’s peninsula directs migrants toward the tip, while Pelee Island offers a mid-lake refuge between Ohio and Ontario. While they share similarities, these destinations offer vastly different visitor experiences, making each one unique. For now, these t-shirts are available for purchase in The Nook-Friends of Point Pelee located inside the Visitor’s Centre and then come May will be available on the island
