While documenting the Abula, Nkwobi & Grills event last weekend, there were a few things that truly stood out to me.
Beyond the food, music, and great vibes, this event has become a space that genuinely brings the Black community together. It was amazing to see how people showed up despite busy work schedules and personal engagements.
For many, it was more than just an event. It was a moment to reconnect with friends, meet new people, and simply feel at home. Some came with friends, while others attended as families, creating such a beautiful atmosphere of togetherness and culture.
One attendee shared that they always look forward to this event not just because of the food or entertainment but because it gives them a sense of home and joy being surrounded by their people. That really stood out to me.
Events like this are important. They create community, connection, and belonging. I truly hope the team behind Abula, Nkwobi & Grills continues to grow, gain more partnerships, and reach even greater heights because this is more than an event. it’s a family gathering for the culture.
