As my own family grows and gets older, I’m realizing more and more that family photos aren’t really about today.

They’re about preserving the people who make up your story; the grandparents who built the foundation, the cousins who grew up together, and the kids who are changing faster than we can keep up.

Extended family sessions capture a season that won’t look the same next year. The kids get taller, schedules get busier, and gathering everyone in one place becomes a little harder.

If it’s been a while since your whole family was together, this is your reminder that there doesn’t need to be a special occasion to document it. Coordinating an extended family session can feel like a logistical nightmare but the photos are always worth it!
