I’m incredibly honoured to share that Shared Ground has been selected for the 2026 TELUS STORYHIVE Video Podcast program — one of 59 projects chosen out of 470 submissions 🤍 This is my first grant, and it’s for a topic that means everything to me. Congratulations to the other 58 recipients of the 2026 season 🫶🏼
I respectfully acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy. I honour the longstanding relationships with Indigenous Peoples in Southern Alberta and recognize their enduring connection to this land.
Shared Ground explores what it means to be Métis in Lethbridge, living on Blackfoot territory — and the conversations around identity, belonging, responsibility, and respect that come with that.
Thank you to TELUS for believing in this vision.
To Mel and Tara — my Métis sisters, thank you for your constant encouragement and for inspiring me to walk proudly in who I am.
And to my partner and his whole Blackfoot family — thank you for welcoming me into your family, your traditions, and this land. You’ve given me a sense of belonging I didn’t know I was searching for.
This is just the beginning. 🔥
