I’m incredibly honoured to share that Shared Ground has been selected for the 2026 TELUS STORYHIVE Video Podcast program — one of 59 projects chosen out of 470 submissions 🤍 This is my first grant, and it’s for a topic that means everything to me. Congratulations to the other 58 recipients of the 2026 season 🫶🏼

I respectfully acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy. I honour the longstanding relationships with Indigenous Peoples in Southern Alberta and recognize their enduring connection to this land.

Shared Ground explores what it means to be Métis in Lethbridge, living on Blackfoot territory — and the conversations around identity, belonging, responsibility, and respect that come with that.

To Mel and Tara — my Métis sisters, thank you for your constant encouragement and for inspiring me to walk proudly in who I am.

I have to say that working on the set of There Are No Squirrels in Lethbridge (TANSIL) was the highlight of my year! This amazing production is made in and around Lethbridge by local talent, cast, and crew. On set, I had the pleasure of taking on many roles, learning a lot, and capturing behind-the-scenes shots. There’s nothing like going from your corporate job to set, working until 2 am (the crew was up until sunrise!), then going back to that corporate job the next morning and still wanting more, because THIS is what you’re made for! If you’re a lover of film, you’re going to want to support this production because it swings big and strong. Enjoy these BTS shots by yours truly! 📸🫶

Just wrapped up editing photos from my shoot with Tanner and I'm still grinning! We vibed on a more mature, film-inspired aesthetic for this talented individual's shots. Tanner's a rockstar, both in front of and behind the camera. It's awesome to be part of a community that supports and uplifts each other. Thanks for the opportunity, 🔥🫶🏼

Joined the rush of people who went chasing the lights last night. Here are some of my favourite shots. NW of Lethbridge and in the river bottom between 10 and 12 before I was too cold and needed to go home to crawl under my heated blanket.

Side note: if you enjoy going out and chasing the lights please be mindful of stopping in the roadway and parking your car there, as well as setting your camera up right along or on the road. It was alarming the number of people I saw making unsafe choices last night. Be mindful when shooting so that we can all have fun 🫶
