Small signs.
The eve of a day that changed my family's life.
It's been 9 years since that extremely hot Father's Day
When my brother took his last breath.
Over the past few months, I have been working on a decision for myself.
Something I would have loved to have had conversations with Jason about.
I have had conversations over the past couple of months.
When I asked him for a sign that he was listening, a really good friend, out of the blue, sent a song within hours without knowing the context. It was the one I used in my brother's celebration of life movie I had made.
Or the 4 cardinals that showed up at my window as I was writing my mom a birthday note. Look up the spiritual meaning of cardinals.
Or on his birthday, when doing team photos, the first player that came in was Jason, but the even more amazing part!!! His last name was Scott, my brother's middle name.
Most of you won't read this far; if you do, send me a message and say hi.
Jason, you are still my big brother; I think about you a lot. No longer daily, but enough. Thank you for all the amazing things you taught me; this sign is an inside joke only a few select people will know about, and when I saw it as I opened IG tonight, I knew what I was going to use to celebrate my brother with.
June 18th isn't Father's Day this year, but for me, I celebrate Father's Day on June 18th.
Lots of love to you, Jay, and lots of love to you all.
You don't know when it is coming, so make it all count.
Sleep well 🫀🫀
