There's something magical about the love between a Red Fox Mother and her kits. Back in 2015, when we owned our cottages, we partnered with Finder’s Keepers at 40North Street and Lockeport Landing Café B&B to create the 10 Reasons to Visit Lockeport brochure. It was our way of promoting not just our business, but the entire town we’re proud to be part of.

Once again, we’re encouraging people to visit and experience everything our community has to offer. Piping Plovers have returned to Crescent Beach here in Lockeport and because our resident pair are not banded, we'll just assume it's either them or their off spring from 2025. Typically this pair have laid a clutch of 4 eggs which take close to four weeks to hatch and based on last year, a nest may not be established for another few weeks as the first chick arrived on June 12th a year ago. Doing the math, their eggs were laid in mid May. Hoping this is our experienced pair as the nests failed on their first attempts upon returning to our beach a few years back.
