Still some of my favourite first dance photos to date! The energy, the commitment, all the love in the room. Your first dance doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to feel like you! 
 
Go simple or go dramatic. Add the dip or just simply sway under the lights. There’s no wrong way to do it. 
 
A few quick tips: 
• Practice enough to feel confident, not robotic 
• Stay close between the big moves 
• If you mess up, laugh!! No one knows the choreography anyways!  
• and when you lock eyes, stay there. 
 
It’s not about performing, it’s about being present! 🤍

Throwing it back to last summer in Alberta 🤍 
 
Last weekend I finally got to officially meet my best friend’s baby, and it had me reminiscing about her maternity session in the mountains. 
 
Getting to document seasons like this, right before everything shifts is something I’ll never take for granted. The anticipation, the excitement, the way life slowly closes one chapter and begins to unfold a new one. 
 
Now that their little one is here, these photos mean even more. 🥹 
 
P.S. For soon-to-be dads who “hate taking pictures”, just give me 30 minutes. I promise we’ll get some solid ones (and it won’t be as painful as you think). 😉

You’ve booked the venue, found the dress and suit, and locked in your vendors… but have you thought about where you’re actually getting ready on the wedding morning? 
 
It might seem like a small detail, but it really does shape how the day begins. Your getting ready space sets the tone. Who’s in the room with you? Is it calm and quiet? A little chaotic in the best way? Is there natural light? Enough space so everyone isn’t stepping over each other? These things make a bigger difference than you’d think, not just for photos, but for how you feel. 
 
A few things to consider when choosing where to get ready:  

• Natural light (a big window goes a long way)
 
• Neutral or clean wall colours 
• Enough room for hair, makeup, outfits, and people 

• Mirrors, outlets, and yes… snacks
 
• A space that actually feels like you 
 
And yes grooms, this applies to you too! 
 
The getting ready portion of the day is where everything starts. Choosing the right space can mean a calmer morning, timeless photos, and fewer last-minute surprises.

Abby & Isaac chose a day filled with the things that matter most to them: quiet moments, their sweet dog Shelby by their side, and celebrating surrounded by the people who know and love them best, both in person & in spirit.
 
Cars have always been a big part of Isaac’s life, and they intentionally included that piece of his story into their day. From his grandma’s Chrysler convertible to his Camaro, bringing pieces of everyday life into a day they’ll never forget.  
 
From heartfelt moments under the trees to dancing beneath the lights as the sun disappeared, every part of their day felt intentional, emotional, and completely them. 

A reminder that the most beautiful weddings aren’t about perfection, they’re about presence, connection, and celebrating love exactly as it is.

A wedding day filled with laughter, love, and a twist on a first look! From pre-ceremony shots and the moment they locked eyes at the aisle to their golden hour kiss under the arch and their first dace,every second was filled with joy, big emotions, and unforgettable memories. These two celebrated in the best way possible - surrounded by love and endless fun 🥂

Throwing it back to one of my favourite family sessions to date. Caitlin and I graduated from the same college program, so when she reached out to do a session, I was truly honoured and super excited! Capturing the love and connection that made this season of their lives so special was such a privilege and not to mention this beautiful scenery was just down the road from their home!  
 
Documenting families is something I truly love - not just the big milestones, but the quiet, everyday moments that make up a lifetime of memories. For those who don’t know, I photograph more than just weddings. Every chapter deserves to be remembered, and I’m grateful to help tell these stories through my lens.
