Have you ever wondered what a Hot Air Balloon landing looks like? Well I have always wondered too up until this morning here in New Brunswick as one landed not even 20 ft away from me! I got the landing on video to share with everyone. I will have some hot air balloon photos from the of that I will post eventually! (I just gotta get back home first 😂)

Would you ever go in a hot air balloon? I certainly could not! Far too high and too many what ifs for this one! Like getting stuck in the top of a tree... landing in water.... and just the way they land is enough for me to be a hard no for me.

Update: never have I said this was a hard landing and nor am I making any claims of there absolutely being a potential of water or getting stuck in a tree, but let's face it. We can never say never as this kind of thing could very well happen under extreme circumstances. If those commenting do not have anything nice to say, please refrain from doing so. I figured I would simply share MY visual experience witnessing my first ever hot air balloon landing and figured id ask those interested if they ever would go in one or not. That is all. August as we know it is coming to an end, the sunflowers will be harvested soon just like the corn around us. If you come across a sunflower field, take those photos then, in the moment because the next time you drive by it, they may be cut.

No luck on the auroa, but getting **some** of the eclipse happening tonight! The clouds never make it easy for us Eastern ON folks eh 😂🤷‍♀️ -- missing about 1/2 the eclipse due to cloud coverage.

If you're camping with us tonight, be sure to look up! You'll hopefully be treated to a rare celestial double feature: the northern lights and a near-total lunar eclipse all in one night.

The aurora is expected to be visible a few hours after sunset, with the best viewing often around midnight.

Grab a blanket, settle into your campsite and enjoy nature's evening entertainment. 🍿✨

The 3rd Smith Falls Bike Night is just around the corner! That being said, the weather is not looking too promising, so before anyone gets their hopes up about bike photos; if it is raining, I will not be attending as it is not worth damaging gear.

Also, please note that I will unfortunately not be able to attend the last Bike Night in September either due to other obligations / conflicting schedules.

I look forward to seeing all the bikes again next year for opening Bike Night at the very minimum!

Stay safe and keep those 2 wheels on the grounds ladies and gentlemen (or 3 wheels if you have a Spyder / Trike / Ural)

As promised, photos from July 1st Bike Night are now up! I focused mostly on bikes that were White, Red, or Red & White given the day being . Other bikes were photographed due to the "caught my eye" factor, or noticing cool figurines or stuffies as ride-a-longs as well.

Again, what a lovely day (despite the heat) that was packed with thousands of bikes that drowned out the music acts performing. Seriously, I barely heard the bands over the roaring of bikes coming and going! It was nice to see families with their little ones out enjoying the several designs of bikes as well!

Also, special shoutouts to Ontario Provincial Police - East Region, Smiths Falls Police Service, and Smiths Falls Firefighter's Association for the hard work put into ensuring the safety of community members, visitors from all over, and biker families!

Next Bike Night is August 5th in Downtown Smiths Falls on Beckwith Street and don't forget to stop by Bradshaw Cycle Works booth to grab some merch and see their wicked bike that's on display!
