Dalemead delivers dinner again! Stopped in on my way home from work to see how long the reservior is before the ice comes and took a few casts while I was at it! Managed to snag this healthy pike to make some fish tacos out of for the night! Sometimes a quick stop is all you need to get some relaxation on the water!

Even though the Ice Season is long gone to Saskatchewan, figured I would post this healthy Walleye out of the local Eagle Lake! Eagle always seems to have a healthy population of Walleyes and Pike to make for a good day on the ice! Fish from Eagle have some of the palest appearances I have ever seen! With a very pothole like bathymetry fish are often spread out all over the lake and can lend themselves to a run and gun approach to track them down. Keeps you on your feet and packing light thats for sure!

Well, even though I only managed 1 bite at the storm drain ponds today, it is still an exciting day! Here is a major throw back to not only when I was clean shaven, but also the time I hauled a 32" pike out of the same place I was casting in today! It truly is amazing to see the places pike can survive and thrive!
