I thought this was rather cool—kind of like finding a unicorn in your backyard. We all know the Northern Lights hang out in the north, right? That’s like their VIP section. But sometimes they decide to take a little detour to the northeast and the east, probably because they heard there’s a great party there. So, I took to the dock, thinking I could unleash my inner Picasso by pouring water on the wood, hoping to capture some starry sparkles. Instead, I ended up with a “purple haze” that made it look like I was having a funky dance party without the funk. But hey, I’ll take it!

I did snap a few shots of the stronger lights to the north—basically, the overachievers of the aurora world. But honestly, give me a quirky purple haze any day! It's like the Northern Lights decided to throw on some retro sunglasses and have a good time. Who needs perfection when you can have style?
