It’s Earth Day 🌱

Admiring the planet and the wonder of how we even exist has been a lifelong obsession of mine. From microscopic fungi, insects, plants, trees, wildlife, humanity and the inconceivable immensity of the universe, our world is a wonder. I wish we were more careful with it. As Emily Dickinson wrote, ‘when we pull on one thread, everything else unravels’.

The ground is baaaaarely thawing and these gorgeous blasts of colour are busy hunting, eating groggy bugs, flitting branch to branch frustratingly fast, forever in the opposite direction. With a drab prairie background thirsty for something pretty to view, these birds sure do the job.
