Lori’s memoir, Dreamer’s Daughter, was published by Simon & Schuster on April 7, 2026.

This book reading was held at the Lasalle Theatre in Kirkland Lake on April 18th, 2026, with a strong turnout and generous support through donations that helped make this event possible.

Tina Pugliese, Co-Chair and Volunteer Programming Support

After years of teaching and working in the arts, Tina is grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with her home region and support the revitalization of the LaSalle Theatre. Her work allows her to foster the growth of local youth through meaningful opportunities in the performing arts, education, and peer mentorship. She is proud of, and driven by, the talent of the LaSalle Young Actors Company and the tireless energy they bring to the stage.

By connecting her students from the School of Dramatic Art at the University of Windsor with the LaSalle Theatre through peer mentorship and youth arts programming, Tina has helped create an exciting new initiative where emerging and aspiring theatre artists can learn from one another across distances.

Serving as Co-Chair alongside her lifelong friend, and collaborating with fellow board members, she remains focused on the goal of creating a community hub for arts, culture, and education—one that welcomes people from across the region.

Fun Fact: Tina learned the importance of community while growing up in the small town of Kearns, where her family operated a small business.

Peggy MacDonald, Co-Chair and Volunteer Fundraiser

After retiring from multiple “lifetimes” in the travel industry, Peggy MacDonald was elected Co-Chair of Charity in June 2025. She finds it both exciting and rewarding to help her hometown envision a Centre for the Arts in Northeast Ontario, located in Kirkland Lake.

Having witnessed the remarkable talent in the region over the past several years, Peggy has become laser-focused on continuing the organization’s impactful work with the Young Actors Company. The Board has been actively engaging corporations operating in the area to support the restoration of the iconic theatre to its original splendour, while also creating a vibrant facility that attracts new residents and strengthens the local arts community.

Fun Fact: Peggy worked at both the LaSalle Theatre and the Strand Theatre during her high school years in Kirkland Lake.
