My name is Cassidy and I am a local photographer in the Medicine Hat area specializing in family and graduation portraiture, wedding and event photography and newborn sessions. For this reason, I have been inspired to follow my passion for photography and share it with the people around me. Why choose me to trust with this important task? Our little girl, Kaycee Jade, has officially been Earth side for a whole week after being born at 37weeks 6 days! 💕

Of course, Mom had to do a little photoshoot to celebrate. Although, I can definitely say it is NOT as easy to take newborn photos of your own baby!

Our entire session lasted about 5 minutes, and within those 5 minutes she managed to p**p her diaper and scream for most of it. I definitely think she was much more invested in her role as Mom’s little milk monster than she was in her first photoshoot!

At one week old, Kaycee is still fitting into her preemie clothes, has gained back some of her birth weight, and currently has a serious love hate relationship with nighttime and her bassinet.

Luckily, Mom has plenty of experience photographing stubborn newborns and managed to catch a couple of her blinks that we can pass off as sleepy photos!

The cutest little details you could ever imagine. It honestly blows my mind just how tiny newborns are. Their little fingers, their tiny toes, every little detail is truly something to remember forever.

This little guy came in for his newborn session last week, and while his parents asked to keep his photos private (which I always ask about and completely respect!), they gave me permission to share a few of their favourite tiny details.

The annual Wenzel family photoshoot did not disappoint!

If I told you these are only some of the amazing, fun-filled photos we captured, would you believe me?! This crew is always up for an adventure, from a little peek-a-boo behind the trees, to throwing rocks in the river, to simply playing and laughing together.
