Here’s some shots from my photowalk today!
I was armed with my Fujifilm X-T3 and the Rokkor 45mm lens (with MD-FX adapter). I love shooting with this lens as I have to manually focus, which makes me slow down, and it gives the images a softer feel compared to a digital lens.
The images here are all straight from camera using the Acros + Yellow film simulation.

Sometimes street photography gives you a split second where everything lines up.
I noticed the leading line of the platform drawing straight toward this man waiting for the tram in Edinburgh — and just as I pressed the shutter, he looked directly at me. Perfect timing.

Sadly, I missed focus 😔, so I used AI in order to make the man in focus. For reference and transparency, the second image is the original…

Thursday throwback to a beautiful evening at Awenda.
I remember getting quite wet from the rain, but I kept my camera dry with a shower cap! They take up no room or weight in my camera bag and they also don’t cost a lot. Go get yourself some shower caps!

Which version do you like the best, Colour or Black and White? Vote below!
Capturing moments like this one is exactly why I love photography. Freezing something that only existed for a fraction of a second — a moment you’d miss if you blinked. That split second holds everything.
Focus. Risk. Flow. Uncertainty.

This morning’s thunderstorm got me reminiscing about my first time capturing lightning!
I had just packed my gear in the car and was about to head home when it began. I made the decision to get my gear back out and try and capture the show.
I took a LOT of shots and this was the only one that caught the lightning. The feeling I got when I saw it on the back of the camera was a mix of joy and amazement - I just couldn’t wait to get home and edit it!

What’s a photo that you’ve captured that made you feel something powerful? Let me know below 👇
