Can someone explain how this giant fluffball is defying physics? 🤔🐻

There’s something about abandoned places that makes you slow down and wonder about the stories they could tell.

These old homes and buildings from my trip to Alberta may be weathered and quiet now, but they still carry so much character and history across the prairie landscape. I couldn’t resist stopping for a few photos along the way.

Which one would you explore first?

The tractor sunset photo has surprised me with how much attention it’s getting. 🌅🚜

Now I’m trying to decide… would you pair it with these next two images as a small prairie series, or let the tractor photo stand alone as a canvas piece?

Curious what you would choose. 😊

There’s something about prairie elevators that always makes me slow down.

I spotted a few of these beauties on my recent Alberta road trip and couldn’t resist stopping for photos. The textures, colours, and prairie light felt timeless.

After yesterday’s black-and-white trestle bridge photos with my sister, this felt like another chapter of the same journey — exploring the places that still whisper history across the Prairies.

Rochfort Trestle, Alberta
Built between 1914–1919 for the Canadian Northern Railroad, this historic wooden bridge stretches 2,414 feet and stands 110 feet above the Paddle River — the longest all-wood trestle in Western Canada.
I first spotted this bridge on my drive to Whitecourt, on my way to visit my sister. I knew I had to come back — and we did, capturing portraits together on top of something that now holds a little more meaning for both of us.

That moment when one swan turned into a family story. 🤍

Swipe through to see this beautiful crew slowly appear. A favourite memory from two summers ago in Clear Lake.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone. 🌷
Troy and Seth took me to Clear Lake yesterday and let me spend the day taking photos in nature — honestly my favourite kind of gift. Quiet time outdoors with my family, fresh air, wildlife, and a camera in hand. 💛

The ice on Clear Lake actually helped me get surprisingly close photos of this loon… and I think these may be my favourite animal photos from yesterday. I also have a very cool loon video plus ducks, birds, and even a coyote to share soon!
