Can including your toddler in your maternity session be a little chaotic? Yes.

But it can also be fun! — and an honest reflection of the stage of life you’re in right now. It’s not always perfectly calm, but it’s real — and that’s what makes it meaningful.

I loved getting to photograph the grown-up version of a little newborn I captured a couple of years ago. Seeing returning families and how their little ones have changed over time is always such a special part of this work. 🤍

This gorgeous mama looked absolutely stunning during her maternity session!

She chose one of my favourite cream lace gowns from my client closet — a piece I designed and hand-sewed, specifically for showing off those beautiful bumps! There’s something so special about seeing a gown you’ve made come to life in a session like this. 🥰

This stage goes by quickly — maternity sessions are typically scheduled between 28–34 weeks, when bumps are beautifully defined and movement is still comfortable.

If you’ve been thinking about documenting this stage of motherhood, consider this your gentle nudge. 🤍
