Excited to be part of this photographic journey, documenting the birth of a conservation area in Mississauga. The Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area is truly a jewel and is already playing an important part supporting our birds and wildlife.

Some dramatic skies yesterday while out scouting a proposal location to photograph later this week. This is the pier near Lakeside Park in Oakville. It was spitting rain but the light was truly amazing. 🤩

A snooze, a squint, more snoozing. Finally when dusk hits, a quick check around a flight to find some breakfast. It was simply amazing to observe this wee owl camouflaged in a tree cavity. This particular screech owl is reddish in colour. They can also appear more grey. We stayed well back and let the long lenses do their thing.
