Growing up, I was taught to believe in something greater, and for me, that has always been Senhor Santo Cristo.
For the people of São Miguel, Senhor Santo Cristo is much more than an iconic religious figure. He represents our faith, our heritage, and the hope that has carried generations through some of life’s most difficult moments. Believing in Senhor Santo Cristo has always given me something meaningful to hold onto, a connection that lives deeply within my heart.
There is an emotion I cannot fully put into words; but, when I look into the eyes of Senhor Santo Cristo, I feel a sense of peace, comfort, and reassurance that somehow everything will be okay. It is a connection that reminds me of where I come from, what I believe in, and the hope that continues to guide me through life.
A crescer, ensinaram-me a acreditar em algo maior, e para mim, isso sempre foi o Senhor Santo Cristo.
Para o povo de São Miguel, o Senhor Santo Cristo é muito mais do que uma figura religiosa icónica. Ele representa a nossa fé, a nossa herança e a esperança que tem sustentado gerações nos momentos mais difíceis da vida. Acreditar no Senhor Santo Cristo sempre me deu algo significativo a que me agarrar, uma ligação que vive profundamente no meu coração.
Há uma emoção que não consigo expressar completamente em palavras; mas, quando olho nos olhos do Senhor Santo Cristo, sinto uma sensação de paz, conforto e segurança de que, de alguma forma, tudo ficará bem. É uma ligação que me lembra de onde venho, no que acredito e na esperança que continua a guiar-me pela vida.
