We first had the honour of photographing Joan in our studio, and when she trusted us to step into her beautiful home and photograph her entire extended family, it meant so much to us. šŸ¤

Confidence is learnable.

Not the performative kind. Not pretending youā€™re fearless or walking into every room believing youā€™re the most interesting person in it.

The kind that comes from slowly building evidence that you can trust yourself.

You speak when you have something to say.
You let yourself be seen.
You stop shrinking after someone misunderstands you.
You keep promises to yourself.

And somewhere along the way, self-belief begins to catch up.

I think thatā€™s what changes our presence most.

Do you know how many times we hear this?
More than we can count. And honestly, we understand why.

Somewhere along the way, women are taught that photoshoots are for younger women. That once you hit a certain age, you should stop being photographed, stop celebrating your beauty, stop wanting to feel sexy, confident and seen.

We hear things like:

ā€œIā€™m not photogenic.ā€
ā€œI donā€™t look like I used to.ā€
ā€œIā€™ll do it when I lose some weight.ā€
