Beyond humbled to be featured in the recent issue of The Maritime Edit magazine. I’ve kind of just had my head down for 13yrs and this article has helped me reflect on the best way. Thanks to Jennifer Wood for the wonderful article and James & Pam Mullinger for their continued trust and support. Every time I’ve worked for their beautiful magazine I’ve gotten to create some of my favourite images. Also, love the caption Jenn used under the headline for the story! Sometimes clients don’t necessarily “need” a photoshoot but just do it because they want to. And I LOVE those shoots. Seeing someone get in front of the camera and just absolutely rock it. I take a lot of pride in making the experience an absolute blast and bringing out something in them they may not have known was there.

Chelsea Sutherland’s winning collection for the 2021 Contessa Awards. This shoot almost didn’t happen with the various changes to restrictions and such (I think we rescheduled about 3 times) but we worked hard to make sure it did. And WOW, did Chelsea ever make the most of it.

Over the summer I did something I had always wanted to do and got my motorcycle license. To say I fell in love with riding may be an understatement... Dennis The Prescott did something similar and when he reached out to get some images done of him riding and with his bike, how could I resist?!

While I love shooting in the studio, creating images on location just adds a whole other element to the images. Kristy is a realtor, interior stylist and also does all the photography for her work. Shooting in a home allowed us to create a setting that applies to the work she does and I used warm light and expressions to create a warm and inviting look to her portraits.

The one and only Frank McKenna, photographed for the fine folks at Finally Content. He was incredibly kind, gracious and an absolute pleasure to work with. With Frank’s schedule being what it is I knew that the shoot would be short. We were able to shoot 3 different setups and be out his door in 25 minutes. And believe me, it was hard to leave... his wife was making the most delicious looking pancakes... pancakes I have been dreaming about since that day...
