The Art of Storytelling Through Street Photography.

Street photography is more than just capturing moments; it's about weaving stories from the threads of everyday life. Each photo holds a narrative, a glimpse into the souls of strangers, the heartbeat of a city, and the raw beauty of the human experience.

I've created a video showcasing some of my street photography work. Through this video, I aim to bring you closer to the many streets I’ve wandered, the stories I’ve encountered, and the emotions I’ve captured.

Join me on this visual journey and witness the power of street photography to tell stories that resonate.

Let's celebrate the art of storytelling together.

Returning to the photography studio is like coming home to my creative sanctuary. It's where my passion for capturing moments first bloomed, and every click of the shutter is a dance of vision and inspiration. The studio is not just a room with equipment; it's the birthplace of my photographic journey. Here, creativity flows freely, and each frame tells a unique story. It's a reunion with the echo of countless clicks and the fragrance of developing dreams, reminding me that anything is possible.

I am filled with immense gratitude for the privilege of being able to enter the private world of the Trappistine Nuns, accompanied by our cameras. It was an absolute honour to have the chance to interview Sister Bourque, whose brilliance, sensitivity, honesty, and insight touched me deeply. Sister Bourque has lived an entire and contented life since joining the Monastery at 12 in 1948.
The interview is simply part one of our documentation, and we cannot wait to produce an intimate portrait photo shoot, historical imagery, and footage of the daily lives of the other sisters in the coming months to add to Sister Bourque’s story.
With Sessions, we are embarking on a thought-provoking and historical journey, and we encourage you to stay tuned for the release of our upcoming videos.
Please check out our other clips, subscribe on YouTube, or follow us on Facebook Sessions with Maurice Henri so that you get all the new releases.
My heartfelt thanks go to Jeff Boudreau and Serge Clavet for sharing and experiencing this day with me.

We proudly launch our latest installment of "Sessions with Maurice Henri", where we feature and photograph Donald McGraw.

Donald McGraw is an Acadian artist and painter; his magnificent portraits honor the New Brunswick First Nation Chiefs. The Burnt Church incident inspired him in the late 1990s when there was tension and conflict between commercial fishermen and Indigenous people. His work is a tribute to a positive and long-term alliance between the Acadians and Indigenous Peoples. Sessions with Maurice Henri

Maurice Henri chats with Donald McGraw, an Acadian artist and painter who creates amazing portraits of New Brunswick First Nation Chiefs.

In this brand new episode of Sessions, we meet veteran photographer Dale Wilson to see what he is up to in his new photographic venture, "The collodion process".

Dating back to 1850, the collodion process is synonymous with the "collodion wet plate process,"" which requires the photographic material to be coated, sensitized, exposed, and developed within about fifteen minutes, necessitating a portable darkroom in the field.

Also we do an actual on-location shoot with a camera built in 1904 and develop on-site.

Check it out and as always, hit those "Like" and "Share" buttons!

This week. we're sharing an educational segment about "Framing".

Framing is an essential design element of a photograph. It gives us a sense of how we see the image.

It also creates depth and allows the viewer’s attention to the subject of the photo but to the meaning of its surroundings.

In other words, photography framing uses elements in a composition to create visual balance and hold the viewer’s attention to the primary subject.

It’s a simple way of highlighting some aspects of your design for more impact or to create visual weight for your subject.

Here's Maurice Henri with his take on "Framing". Enjoy!

Framing in photography refers to the composition of a picture. This means choosing what you'll include in the frame, and deciding what you will leave out. Th...

This week's "The Photo Finish" video segment focuses on street photography.
I've been shooting street photography for many years, and it was fun to look through my collection to share some of my favorites with you.
Street photography narrates a diversity of themes and closely looks at fragments of everyday life where each picture has a story. A split second in life, captured with my camera.
