Hi guys. So I want to share a story that started back in December 2019 and just concluded a few minutes ago. Back in December 2019 I went to Bali. I took some beautiful photos of course and when I posted them on Facebook, I tagged the hotel in it. It had the name of the hotel and I wanted to share the beauty with them. I told them they could use it on their page but that's about it. Fast forward a few months later I am struck with nostalgia and decided to go visit booking. com to see the hotel in question and what do I find? My photo being used by the giant company without my consent.
I decided to go see if I could do something about it online that didn't require too much effort from me (what can I say, I'm lazy) and I found a legal company named Pixsy. I decided to check them quickly and it seems they are legit.
So I uploaded image and link to the page using it without my consent and left it as it was.
Through the years (literally), I've received updates about whatever to be honest I didn't really look into it because I didn't think much would come out of it..
A couple weeks ago I received a messaged from them that made me want to open and read. It said case resolution payment pending..
Oh wow what's that I said.. and I read. Now they wanted a lot of information from me and once again I went and checked that it was in fact a legit company which internet assured me it was. So I provided date of birth, name, banking account details, social insurance number.. It really scared me because while I'm good at Internet I'm not infallible and I was still a bit worried but I went with it.. They were saying they were sending me $462.67. You know.. seems like such a random number.
So fast forward to just a few minutes ago and what do you know.. 462.67 dollars have been deposited in my bank account!! I highly suggest them since now I know they are legit and all!! Get money for what you deserve
From what I understand they take 50% fees which might be high but I have done nothing at all for the past two years and a half other than ignoring their messages every months or so..

One thing I really love doing is taking photos of my fish tank. Obviously these were not taken in my fish tank but in a local fish shop. As a saltwater tank owner its very difficult to walk into a store and not buy anything. Even tho I'm 17,000km away from my tank. I certainly didn't expect to buy something but I did anyway, just like the little addict I am ☺️ This time it was a filter lens for my phone. To kill all the blues and bring back al.the colours of the corals.

I feel very lucky to have had the chance to visit Parc Omega, a safari park in Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours, Quebec, Canada. Along a 12-kilometre nature route are lakes, meadows, small valleys, forests, and rocky hills. The photos are not the beat quality I've ever taken but it does let you admire beautiful Canadian wildlife!

Winter in Montreal is also very beautiful. I love the contrast of the white snow with the color of the old bricks. On a day like this not many people venture outside but those who do are rewarded with a magical scenery!

Lesson learnt the hard way.. Batteries don't last very long in -20°c.. Neither do my poor hands.. I'll buy gloves this weekend. But isn't Montreal a special place? Not even a chilly -20°c will stop people from going outside and enjoy the city life. They say Adelaide is the Festival City. I'd say Montreal is the festival capital of the world. This is only one little part of Montreal en Lumières. In a couple days I'll go to another part of it. I'm looking forward to it.

I had other plans for today. I was going to take photos of something much cooler. But weather is not good for it so I just took photos across the park. Super gloomy but also super cool :)
