With over 10 years of experience working on commercial projects, I carved out a niche in portrait and ballet photography producing images that capture the heart and character of a person. www.sashaonyshchenko.com

With projects ranging from classically simple sessions to highly elaborate productions, I’m drawn towards passionate subjects, working with musicians, dancers and artists alike. Having a

background in classical ballet with a meticulous approach to lighting and posing human form gave me the chance to create imagery for ballet companies such as Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, The Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada, Eifman Ballet, Margie Gillis and others. Each project is approached as a collaboration with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude to get the most out of every shoot and deliver a perfect image at the end of the day.

My Story

www.sashaonyshchenko.com My name is Sasha and I'm a photographer with studio based in Montreal.

I like to believe that the influence of Eastern Europe and my days as a ballet dancer laid a strong foundation for my vision and fostered unique taste for aesthetics and elegance. This helped developed my photographic style.

My focus is on portrait, advertising, editorial fashion and dance photography. I'm lucky to create images for artists, businesses, brands and corporations. I'm an official photographer for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal.

I was born and raised in Ukraine. Since early childhood I studied to become a ballet dancer and I danced professionally for 13 years.
