The hugs are a bit tighter and more deeply felt in a priceless sibling moment, when sisters who’ve flown in from another country, walk through the hotel bridal room door, and in a flash, the moment is gone.
In pre-wedding day conversations, I’d been made aware of the importance of having Abby’s sisters present on this special day, so committing to being truly present means having eyes in the back of my head, ears open, and the mindfulness to stop what I’m focused on across the room, and move in for this important candid second.
Unplanned moments like these are the ultimate challenge for a wedding photographer, because it’s only later that the bride might realize what photos she never expected to be so thankful to have.
Thoroughly rewarding. 🧡
