Romantic garden stroll in golden light

From Yu-Gi-Oh duels and board game battles to late-night ice cream runs that my lactose intolerance definitely did not approve of, these two have been some of the best people to do life with. Somehow, the laughs always outweigh the consequences.

Watching your friendship grow into something even deeper has been nothing short of incredible. You both bring out the best in each other, and it shows in every smile, every inside joke, and every moment you share.

Cheers to many more game nights, questionable dessert decisions, and a lifetime of love ahead. I cannot wait to celebrate you both at the wedding next year. 💛

A Love Story Across Cultures: Long Overdue & Unforgettable
This post is a long time coming, but some memories take a while to process because they simply mean so much. 🥹

When two of my dear friends asked me to be their wedding photographer, I was beyond honored. But I didn't realize just how much this day would change me. Capturing their union wasn't just about a wedding; it was my first time experiencing the beautiful fusion of Jamaican and Ghanaian traditions, and I am still vibrating from the energy of it all.

Culture, Community, and Connection

Despite the sweltering summer heat, I found myself completely lost in the vibrant traditions. Every frame I captured felt like a piece of history.

The Money Dance: This was a highlight for me! Seeing guests pin money on the bride and groom as they danced was so moving. It’s more than just a gift; it’s a physical representation of a community wrapping the couple in prosperity and support.

The Processional: My heart actually skipped a beat seeing both parents walk the bride down the aisle. It was such a powerful display of family and foundational love.

The Atmosphere: From the "heartbeat" of the island, Reggae music keeping everyone grooving, to the breathtakingly vibrant tropical attire, there wasn't a "stuffy" moment in sight. It was pure, breezy, colorful joy.

A Feast for the Soul

And can we talk about the food?! Between the curried goat and the jerk chicken, my mouth is still watering. In these cultures, food isn’t just a meal; it’s a celebration of togetherness. I may have been behind the lens, but I was definitely grooving to the music and soaking up every ounce of that flavor!

To My Friends

Watching you two commit to each other through the lens of my camera is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. To be invited into your culture and trusted in your most precious moments is a gift I don’t take lightly.

I am so incredibly happy for your love. It is deep, it is traditional, and it is undeniably beautiful. Thank you for letting me capture your heartbeat. ❤️

"There are 5.5 million nurses and nurse’s aides in America. That’s 2.6% of the population and yet nursing is still one of the fastest-growing occupations."

Nurses is essential in a health care system. Nurses are far from one-trick employees. They perform countless vital tasks in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and more. The Nursing isn’t an easy job. Over half of nurses report that stress and frustration plague them daily in their job. However, most of my friends are nurses also agree that their job is very fulfilling.

I met Rachel during my Japan study abroad trip in summer 2018 and quickly became friends. We both miss our spontaneous adventures but at least we can put it in the books. Congratulations on graduating Rachel! You're going to do great at Vidant! 👩‍⚕️🏥
