This will be used for the Paw2Love Easter shoot on March 29th at Pet Zone O'Leary between 1-4pm. 🐇

A huge thank you to everyone who came out on Sunday for this fundraiser in support of Paw2Love rescue efforts!

As always, the doggie daycare area at Pet Zone O'Leary is a phenomenal space , and we are very grateful. 🥰

I hope these sneak peeks will bring a smile to your face and put a spring in your step as we inch our way towards brighter days and warmer temperatures!

Libby’s Story 🩷

Her adopter shares:
“Libby is, we think, a lil chiweenie. We brought her home in 2024 and she’s made our lives a whole lot brighter. She’s soft tempered and calm but she’s got a big personality. She doesn’t bark but it doesn’t take much to get her riled up and playing. Her favourite toys are the ones bigger than her (and socks). Libby has become a huge part of lives and she could not be any more loved. I am very grateful for Paw2Love for bringing her home to me!”

“Sauce came to us at a time when we needed him more than he needed us. He arrived from Texas in March of 2024, missing a front leg but not missing a single beat.

Since arriving in Newfoundland, Sauce has officially entered his glow up era. Winning 1st place in the Fanciest Face category at the Safe Pups Animal Pageant? Check.✔️
Helping his mom organize and run Paw2Love events? Check. ✔️

There is something undeniably special about Sauce. When people meet him, they don’t just smile, they soften. They connect. Poppy’s Story ❤️

His adopter shares:
“Watch out! He’s got his eye on you!

This sweet little boy came to us just before Christmas and we could not ask for a better gift. This rescue has a knack for finding the most special dogs and his wonderful foster family gave him so much confidence and happiness. He dropped into our lives with three other rescue dogs of different breeds and sizes acting like he’s always been here. When this little boy gets the zoomies, he lives up to his name by literally popping around the house. He can’t hold in his happy! He loves his 3 brudders and reminds them often with kisses on the nose. He connected with us immediately, giving us so much love, affection and trust. The only thing he asks in return is to be paid handsomely in belly rubs.” 🐾

Dash’s Story 🩵

“Dash initially captured our hearts with the most handsome smile in September of 2024. Once we met him, we loved him even more. He’s nine pounds of pure confidence and pride. He’s stunning…and he knows it. Don’t let his age fool you. At nine yeas old, he loves jogging, hiking, and kayaking. Other hobbies include modeling, shopping, burrowing under blankets, and capturing hearts. He’s a case of who rescued who? His sweet personality coupled with constant cuddles brings us so much joy. We’re forever grateful to Paw2Love and his amazing foster mom for giving him the second chance he deserves. He went from a kill shelter to being adored wherever he goes. He’s even showcased at a local pet store as the Employee of the Month and he maintains that status every single month!” 🐾

Aww, little Toby. He's been to most (if not all!) of our photo fundraisers and is dressed up every single time. He's got such a personality being a Chihuahua with a dose of diva! ❤️

Toby’s Story 💙

His adopter shares:
“Toby is a 7 year old Chihuahua, When we first adopted him on March 2nd 2024 from Texas, he was very small, scared, and shaking like crazy when we picked him up from the rescue, he didn't like the cold then, and still won't go outside when it is now. He always wants to be in a blanket next to one of us, Toby has brought so much joy to our lives, He has to sleep in our bed with us at night, and you would swear the way he sleeps he is a human. He will tell me when its time to go to bed, but he won't tell ya when to get up, he loves his sleep 🤣 I always laughed when people would say there pets are their babies, and talk to them like they are one, but now he is our little baby, and we wouldn't trade him for anything. As time has went on his personality surely has shined through, he is definitely the boss of the house or he seems to think anyways, he is like any typical chihuahua when first meeting someone, he will bark and he wants to bite you if you put your hand in front of him to pet him, but if you sit down with him, and give him a little neck rub, you're his new best friend. He loves all the snuggles and kisses, if you rubbed his belly all day it would make him the happiest dog in the world. We couldn't imagine our lives without him in it, he makes us smile, and laugh at something everyday, he means more to us then just a dog, he is a member of our family and he always will be!”

Hope has been through so much. I'm so happy she will spend the rest of her days being loved and playing with her fur siblings! ❤️🐾

Hope’s Story ❤️

Hope’s journey to her forever home is nothing short of remarkable. She was found in a kill shelter in Alice, Texas, only days away from being euthanized. Reported as a blind senior, suffering from matured cataracts, critical ear infections, she was still producing milk — a heartbreaking reminder that she had likely been abandoned by a breeder shortly after her last litter. But Hope’s story didn’t end there.

Her adopter shares:
“Hope became a part of our family of misfits in November of 2025. Since then, she has made incredible progress. The cataract on her right eye has improved, her confidence and playful personality shine brighter every day, and she lives happily with her new brothers and sisters, including her brother Sauce, who also came from Peewees Pet Adoption. Both Hope and Sauce have their own unique disabilities, Hope with her vision and Sauce with his missing leg, but neither lets that slow them down. Together, they love playing, cuddling, and making every day brighter in their own special ways. You can often find them both chowing down on all the tarter busters they can find.

Hope is the perfect embodiment of her name, a symbol of resilience, second chances, and the transformative power of love. From a number on a shelter list to a beloved family member, Hope reminds us all why every life matters.”

The sweetest boy! 🥰

Murphy’s Story 🩵

Murphy came from Texas all the way to Newfoundland in March 2024. Still traumatized from living in a crowded shelter it took him a few days to warm up and show his foster family his quirky personality but then it was clear - he was meant to stay forever. A foster fail or rather foster win turned into a lifetime of cuddles and adventures with his family. Murphy enjoys naps on the couch, running in the snow and giving comfort to other rescue dogs from paw2love as a big foster brother.

His adopter shared:
"Murphy is the best little companion anyone could ask for. He has so much personality and brings us immense joy every day. If we want to relax on the couch, he's right there with us and if we want to go for a hike, he is ready for an adventure, too. He is the perfect addition to our little family and we love him very much."

Dory came to us from Labrador June, 2025 and found her forever home with one of our beloved puppy fosters. Blind but fearless, she quickly showed just how much personality she has to offer. 👀

“Ahem… let me begin.
Dory is special… she’s actually blind! Which is why she is always staring at the floor or looking into the great beyond. She came from Labrador in June to start her luxurious life of endless treats, naps and outdoor adventures. She likes playtime with other dogs a lot but don’t stand in the middle since she’s like a bull in a china shop and will take you out. Her favourite hobby when leaving the house is barking and more barking. She’s great though. 10/10 recommend.”
