Good morning from Musgrave Harbour, Newfoundland!😉☕

Northeast coast residents and visitors are a day away from dropping that extra layer of clothes if forecasts hold steady. Seems as well that Mudder Nature has opened the purse on the sunshine after a May month that barely offered enough to activate an arm freckle. She's also been rather scuddy with her ration of calm winds as I'm sure the fishermen will agree.

📷A rare calm afternoon at the wharf in Valleyfield takes the stage for today's pic. High Seas II and her fleet-mates sit patient at the dock, crab pots stacked and ready. Here's hoping June is more generous with the settled weather these crews deserve.

Just time for a wink and a wave this morning I'm afraid.👋 Chores backed up due to the weather? Finally, a wind and rainless day to get crackin' at 'em! Button up on this 'fine day for clothes'!😨 Me fingers are numb from a trip to the beach just now. Another workday ahead so time to pack some grub and gather the gear. What's on the go with you this 26th of May? 🧐

📷Today's capture was shot about a month ago on the beach 'longside the 'Spindrift by the Sea' Motel here in Musgrave. A scene of serenity for a busy time for many on the northeast coast.

Good morning from Musgrave Harbour, Newfoundland!😉☕

How goes the effort?🤠 Tis' a job to get a bit of yard work done in this gale of wind and only the bold are actually getting their hands in the dirt. Some strange not to see a boat on the water during what's usually the busiest time. Even the dandelion is still in hiding! Hang in there — summer's coming, even if she's taking the scenic route!🌞

📷Here's a recent capture of the Brady & Cameron easing through the harbour on a cool, foggy evening in Newtown. The 2026 snow crab quota for the 3K area (right in our backyard) is down this year, so harvesters are working hard to make the most of every haul. Safe travels to them all.

How's ya gettin' on now?😁Just making a pit stop before heading wharf side again and wanted to touch base and let you know I was still alive. How's your week going? Getting some spring chores in?

Good morning from Musgrave Harbour, Newfoundland!😉☕

I just took me first slug of hot tea for the morning and I knows you're not good!😋 She won't be a warm 18th of May on the northeast coast but the sun could poke out da once and offer enough heat to help us through the chores. As far as I'm concerned, anything that doesn't involve rain, I'm ok with. Folks wharf side are near waterlogged!🫠

📷The Lillian Madison with her yellow hull trimmed in deep burgundy, pushes through the chop in the shot from last week in Greenspond. The wharf by the Beothic plant is a prime spot in the evening light to catch the vessels returning to port.

Time to get my butt in gear...talk to you by and by!😆🎸

Another soggy day in the Muz as I shoot off to work! Me absorbency is at maximum limits but still prodding along I happy to report. I just missed the diving gannets yesterday morning but caught this sunrise before the clouds rolled back in.

Good morning from Musgrave Harbour, Newfoundland!😉☕

Hellooo sunshine!😎 After two solid days of rain, it's lovely to see the green returning to the Muz! Despite the clear skies, you'll want a thin layer on out there until western wind chill subsides.

📷'Tis a banner year in regards to iceberg sightings. As of this week, satellite data shows nearly 520 off the east coast of Newfoundland and southern Labrador which is almost twice the average number. If you're traveling around the Kittiwake coastline today, keep an eye out for this double topper grounded west of Deadman's Bay.

Chore time for this ol' salt...hope you're week is going ok!😆🎸
