Congrats to Susan Juby! The VIU Creative Writing Professor’s book A Meditation on Murder has been shortlisted for The Whodunit Award for Best Traditional Mystery by the Crime Writers of Canada. Winners will be announced on May 30.

You can join Susan at the launch of her new book, Contemplation of a Crime, on Thursday, May 22 from 7 to 8 pm at the Lions Pavilion at Maffeo Sutton Park in Nanaimo. There will be a brief reading, Q&A and books available to purchase. Please bring a folding chair. Peculiar chairs are encouraged, she says.
