Great real estate photography isn’t only about capturing the most beautiful rooms. It’s also about helping buyers understand how the entire home fits together!

Sometimes the most useful photo isn’t necessarily the most dramatic one. A well-planned wide angle or transition shot can answer questions about the layout before a buyer ever steps through the door.

When I photograph a listing, I’m thinking about the full story. I want buyers to finish scrolling with a clear picture of not only what the home looks like, but how it would actually feel to live there.

A beautiful view can be one of the biggest selling features of a home, but capturing it properly is about more than pointing the camera out the window!

It’s about showing how the view connects to the home. What you see from the living room, what mornings on the deck could look like, and how the surrounding landscape becomes part of everyday life.

Great listing photography shouldn't stop at the property line.

Buyers want to know what surrounds the home too. Is the beach just down the road? Are there walking trails nearby? What does the neighbourhood look like? Is there a lake, park, or great view right around the corner?

That's where lifestyle and drone photography can add another layer to a listing. Instead of only showing buyers the house, I can help show them what it might actually feel like to live there.

Because sometimes the location is one of the biggest reasons someone falls in love with a home.

August gives us everything we want for a great aerial shot. Longer days, beautiful summer light, and outdoor spaces looking their best!

From above, you can capture so much more than the property itself. Drone photography helps show the size of the lot, surrounding neighbourhood, nearby water, mountains, parks, and all the little location details buyers can't always see from ground-level photos.

And with those late-summer evenings, we get some pretty incredible golden-hour light too.

A home on a warm summer evening just hits differently. The light is softer, the patio feels more inviting, the landscaping comes to life, and suddenly buyers can picture themselves actually enjoying the space.

This is why I love capturing homes either in the early morning or later in the day. The right timing can highlight outdoor living spaces, views, and the warm glow from inside the home in a way that daytime photos simply can’t.

Sometimes this lighting is exactly what makes a listing memorable.

Sometimes it’s not the kitchen or primary bedroom that sticks with a buyer. It’s the backyard they can picture spending summer evenings in, the deck with the incredible view, the fire pit made for hosting, or the landscaping that makes the whole property feel private.

These outdoor features are part of what makes a home memorable, which is why they deserve just as much attention in your listing photos.

If I had to pick just one room, it would be the living room every time!

It's usually where the best natural light comes in, where the home's layout starts to make sense, and where buyers begin picturing themselves spending time with family and friends.

A great living room photo isn't just about showing furniture. It's about capturing the feeling of the space: how open it is, how the light fills the room, and how it connects to the rest of the home.

Every living room has something unique to highlight, and finding that perfect angle is one of my favourite parts of every shoot.

When a home backs onto a lake or is surrounded by nature, the location becomes one of its biggest selling features. Great real estate photography makes sure buyers don't miss it.

Wide-angle shots help showcase the relationship between the home and the water, while drone photography captures the setting from above and highlights everything that makes the location unique.
