Lunar eclipse of November 2022! It’s the last total lunar eclipse until 2025. Amazing sight to behold and totally worth getting up at 3am 😁

Shoot for the moon! Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars!

A composite (blended) image and my attempt at astro-portraits! It's a field that certainly has it's challenges and definitely forces you to under and consider lighting on a whole new level!

I guess I'm a little late on uploading these photos of the celestial visitor we had earlier this summer. But I suppose it's better to share these photos late than never!

Special thanks to my parents on joining me on the banks of the Ottawa river for some of these fantastic portraits!

I was on the hunt for some meteor showers last month. While I didn't capture any prominent meteors alongside the Milky Way galaxy, I really liked the way the passing cars lit up the trees! Hope you guys like it as much I did capturing this image.

It may not mean much to most, but I am very proud of this photo. It may appear to be just another photo series of the lunar eclipse from last night, which it is. It may not be the best arrangement of the moons, and you might find better photos of yesterday's eclipse if you look around for it.

But for me, I have proven to myself that I will make time and still bring myself to enjoy the things that me unique. Since the start of 3rd year medical school, I have not given myself a solid break while my rotations are in session. I have been crushing and beating myself to work harder than ever before.

But this photo, this moment, reminds me that I am still willing to make time and give priorities to things that matter most to me. That regardless of the pressures and rigours that may come my way down the road, that I will not sacrifice that inch of myself that makes me, me.

"Our integrity sells for so little, but it is all we really have. It is the very last inch of us, but within that inch, we are free." - Alan Moore

Some old data I had lying around from my Saba days that I finally got around to retouching! :P

I miss the Saban night sky wholly, and this was one of my favorite spots to look out north and west!

The Trifid Nebula (top) and the Lagoon Nebula (bottom) found in the constellation of Sagittarius. They are some of the closeby star-forming regions to the solar system that can be seen with the naked eye under dark skies!

I finally got some time this weekend to do some deep sky imaging, and I finally managed to capture M45, the Pleiades star cluster in Ta**us, that I was actually happy with!

It's visible to the naked eye, and is commonly referred to as the "seven sisters." However, it's japanese name has become more popular than that thanks to a specific car company. Brownie points if you can guess what that is!

This past weekend, I got to present some of my astrophotography from Saba at the Royal Astronomical Society monthly meeting in Ottawa. I had a wonderfully receptive crowd, and I'm glad so many people enjoyed my work!

I would also like to thank my friend Franco for coming and taking these photos of some of my highlights from that evening!

This past weekend, and on Monday, I went on 3 early morning hikes to capture the progress of the meeting of Venus and Jupiter in the sky. The photos were taken on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from left to right, shortly before sunrise, all at the same zoom (300mm focal length for the curious).
