One of the privileges of my life has been leading the women’s business group in Nelson.

The past two years have been such a highlight, filled with connection, support, collaboration, and so many incredible women.

Yesterday, we said goodbye to one of our founding members, Topaz, as she heads into her next chapter and new ventures. Of course, we couldn’t send her off without flowers, treats, and a little celebration.

Wishing you all the best, Topaz. We’ll miss having you in the group, but we’re excited to see where this next chapter takes you!

Not every photograph deserves to become artwork.

And that’s exactly why I curate.

Because when you choose to put an image on your wall, I believe it should be more than a pretty photograph.

It should make you stop.

It should bring you back to a little hand you once held, the freckles across a tiny nose, the way your child looked at you before they grew another inch.

These are the photographs that become part of your home — and eventually, part of your family’s story.

I don’t believe in creating hundreds of images just to have them live on a hard drive.

I believe in choosing the ones that deserve to be printed, framed, held, and passed down.

The kind of artwork your children might one day see hanging in their own home and say,
“I remember this.”

Because photographs were never meant to live only on a screen.

They were meant to live with us. 🤍

I’ve always believed photographs should be more than something beautiful to look at.

They should make you feel something.

They should bring you back to a moment, a season, a little face, a certain kind of love that you never want to forget.

That’s why I photograph the way I do.

Because your memories deserve more than a place on your phone.

They deserve to be seen.
To be felt.
To be lived with.

And honestly, there’s nothing I love more than helping families turn the fleeting moments of their lives into artwork they get to experience every single day.

The moment you sit down to cull your images… and realize they’re ALL just so dang cute! 😍

You tell yourself, “Okay, be ruthless. You don’t need 47 versions of the same moment.”

And then you zoom in… and there’s that little smile. 🥹
That tiny hand.
That look.
That little piece of personality you just can’t let go of.

And suddenly, your ruthless culling session has turned into, “Well… I guess we’re keeping this one too.” 😂

This is exactly why I believe your photographs deserve to exist beyond your camera roll.

Every once in a while, it’s pretty special to see yourself through someone else’s eyes.

Jess Andrykew from Jess Andrykew captured this moment of me doing what feels so deeply natural to me, photographing a family and creating space for them to simply be.

And this is the part of my work that means the most.

I don’t want you to come to me and feel like you have to know how to pose, what to do with your hands, or how to make the perfect photograph. I want you to feel safe enough to forget there’s a camera there.

I want to know your people.

I want to notice the way your child reaches for you, the way your partner looks at you when you aren’t paying attention, the little quirks that make your family yours. I want to create an experience where the photographs happen naturally because the connection is real.

Because one day, these won’t just be photographs of what your family looked like.

They’ll be pieces of what it felt like to love each other in this exact season of your life.

There’s something incredibly special about photographing a couple as they wait to meet their first baby. 🤍

I had the sweetest time capturing this beautiful season with these two. There is so much love, excitement, and anticipation woven into these moments, and I feel so lucky to have been able to preserve a little piece of it for them.

Soon, their world will change in the most beautiful way, and they’ll get to meet the little person they’ve already loved for so long.

Wishing you both so much joy, laughter, love, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with becoming a family of three. Your little one is already so very lucky to have you. 🤍
