they flew me to Sweden for one reason: to photograph them. not staged beauty, not walk-down-the-aisle perfection — but the full, messy, beautiful truth of their day.

Per and Michele-Lee said “yes” by the lake where his childhood wandered through artists and punk bands and porch-jazz. their wedding wasn’t planned, it was lived — strangers from all over the world gathered to eat, sing, dance, and drink under endless northern daylight.

there was laughter, a bit of chaos, a kid doing Spidey poses in the corner, a 80-year-old mom singing heartbreak into the night. Moments you don’t stage. moments you feel.

this is what destination weddings feel like when they’re honest. this is why i pack my bags for flights, carry extra film, and show up ready to catch the unfiltered magic.
