Beaver dams and Beaver Dam Analogues (BDAs) — human-built beaver dams — bring resilience back to the landscape. By slowing the flow, these structures recharge groundwater, support fish and wildlife, and provide a critical buffer against droughts, wildfires, and floods. 🦫🌱

This hand-drawn (by me) before-and-after stream and map for the B.C. Wildlife Federation highlights the benefits of beaver dams in an agricultural setting.

Adding some space on the grid for some of the hand-drawn logos I’ve done over the years.✨ This one, for Similkameen Okanagan Society Food Hubs, was created a few years back in 2022. Since then food security and Indigenous food sovereignty in the Similkameen Valley has taken huge strides with the development of the . I learned about what’s happening at the community garden a few months ago and was blown away. So cool! 🌱
