REMY DARLING is a Canadian acclaimed, and self-taught, portrait photographer, as well as a digital artist. Remy’s most compelling quality is the ability to colour her images with strong elements of romanticism, fantasy and a hint of fun and/or darkness. Her unique style has defined her work since being obsessed with disposable cameras as a child. Her devotion to her art became more serious when sh

e picked up her first 'real' camera, a manual Nikon FA, at the age of fourteen, when she first started experimenting with portraiture and themes of fantasy which she continues to develop and refine today. She was originally hired for her first professional shoot three years later at the age of seventeen, by an official of the Canadian Music Week in Toronto. Canadian Music Week continues to present the ideal platform for more than 3,000 national and international delegates, and has grown to become one of Canada's largest and most influential media and music conferences. It draws top industry professionals to participate in a four-day program of activities. At the age of twenty three, Remy started her own business – Remedy Photography. Beginning by taking on small clients, she was soon able to demonstrate a strong understanding of how to develop the commercial and professional side of her business to adequately deal with the high demand for her work. In addition to her commercial success, Remy also continues to be a source of inspiration for many other photographers and artists who follow her work across the social media scene. She gathers her inspirations from all across the internet, literature, movies, dreams, nightmares, and fellow artists from around the world. As well as working with her extensive clientele, she continues to create art for herself and for the simple love of it. Even today, Remy relentlessly strives for perfection and continues to develop and refine her portfolio. Contact her via Facebook, e-mail, or via the studio, if you are interested in hiring her for all things artistic. Remy is currently working worldwide, and is self-represented.
