A little update regarding weather & session reschedules
I always want my clients to feel informed, cared for, and supported throughout their experience with me, so I wanted to share a quick update regarding weather-related reschedules.
When you book a session, I know you’re setting aside time, planning outfits, coordinating schedules, and looking forward to your photos — and I truly never take that lightly. At the same time, I’m reserving dedicated time for your session, traveling, and preparing equipment specifically for you.
Because photography is so dependent on weather and lighting conditions, there may be times where I need to reschedule due to heavy rain or unsafe weather. My camera gear and equipment are quite expensive and are essential to running my business full-time, so shooting in unsafe conditions can risk serious damage to cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and more. Unsafe weather can also affect outdoor locations, children, dresses, hair & makeup, and the overall experience during your session.
I completely understand that reschedules can sometimes feel disappointing or inconvenient, and I truly do my best to accommodate everyone fairly and kindly, especially during busy evenings where multiple sessions may be affected by weather.
If a client chooses to continue with a session despite weather concerns and conditions become unsafe or impossible to photograph in upon arrival, the session may need to be canceled without refund due to the reserved time, travel, and preparation involved.
