If you press pause on life, and allow yourself to slow all the way down, Christmas reveals what it has been all along. Not hurried, not loud, but gentle and glowing. A story read softly. A room held in stillness. A kind of magic that doesn’t rush to be seen, because it knows it will be remembered. This is the Christmas we used to know, and the one still waiting for us when we take the time to notice. 🎅💫

This year has been a magical one for me and my family. Normally I complain about the cold, but my kids have helped me find joy in playing in the snow. Now we have the biggest snowbank that's secretly a pirate ship, lots of hours tabogganing, and lots of times spent with our friends outdoors. And the best part... it always ends with a hot chocolate 😋 It feels extra magical, almost like when I was kid again, except better cuz the magic is in my hands to create 💕

On this specific day, the snow was deep. The air was sharp. And we absolutely stayed out longer than planned. Running, falling, laughing, and capturing it all in betwee. This is my favorite. No posing, no pressure. Just friends, good light, and joy that refuses to stay still.🥰

Not all magic sparkles. Some of it feels like warm wool, deep green pine, soft candlelight, and memories you can practically hear.
Watching Santa settle into this quiet moment brought back the feel of childhood Decembers..when belief was easy and the world felt full of secret wonders.
Photographing him felt like stepping back into my own childhood, back to a time when the world felt simple, warm, and full of miracles waiting just around the corner. Here’s to holding onto that magic, passing it on, savoring it, and letting it root deep in our hearts. 🌲❤️✨

Santa visit is complete!
It was wonderful seeing current and some past preschool friends this morning. I love seeing how they have grown. Thank you to the Santa Ron, I can't ever seem to tag him. And to my good friend Alyssa from Interstellar photography
Another amazing job.
It's a lot of work transforming my mudroom into the scene you see but it is so worth it when I see the little ones come in and sit on Santa's lap.
